The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) invites applications from advocates for appointment on the Panel of Advocates (Service Law) to represent FBR and its subordinate offices in service-related litigation before the Federal Service Tribunal (FST), High Courts, Supreme Court of Pakistan and other judicial/quasi-judicial fora.

| Key Duties | Provide legal opinions, endorsements and recommendations on service law and employment matters; appear before FST, High Courts, Supreme Court and other fora; prepare pleadings, replies, petitions and applications; conduct and monitor litigation on behalf of FBR; convey court/trial directions and assist department in timely compliance; assist in formulation of litigation strategy and legal/risk assessment for service-related matters. |
| Eligibility & Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law. (If degree obtained from a foreign university, HEC equivalence certificate required.) - Enrolment with the relevant Bar Council as an Advocate (High Court/Supreme Court). - For representation before High Court and Supreme Court, at least three (03) years’ practice/experience as an Advocate High Court/Supreme Court is required. - Good reputation, integrity and professional competence; excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Urdu. - Advocates already on FBR Panel for tax matters must submit fresh applications for the Service Law Panel if interested. |
| Terms | Applications are considered for one station only; multiple-station applications will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. Original documents to be produced at interview. No TA/DA. Remuneration is paid on a case-to-case basis as per FBR-approved fee structure. FBR reserves the right to increase/decrease numbers or cancel the hiring process at any stage. |
