The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan invites applications for the Access to Scientific Instrumentation Programme (ASIP) for the year 2026–27 to provide financial support for PhD scholars enrolled in public-sector universities for access to advanced scientific and analytical facilities.

Eligible Applicants	Only PhD students enrolled in public-sector universities of Pakistan Research synopsis/proposal must be approved by the competent university forum (e.g., Ethical Review Board, Advanced Studies & Research Board, Directorate of Research). Apply at least 12 weeks prior to planned sample analysis. Can only apply for tests not available at their home university/institute; if local facilities exist but are not used, applicant must provide justification.
Key Funding Features	Maximum funding for sample analysis per applicant: PKR 200,000 per year (HEC fiscal year: July 1 – June 30). Multiple applications allowed but total disbursement must not exceed PKR 200,000 per year or three disbursements in total during the PhD programme. Analyses/tests must be conducted at public-sector universities or public-sector R&D organisations. Payments are made by HEC directly to the service provider after satisfactory completion of analysis.
