High Court of Sindh at Karachi has issued a summons in Suit No. B-24 of 2026. The plaintiff, Habib Bank Limited, has instituted proceedings under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001, seeking recovery of the outstanding amount of PKR 388,577,974.65 together with mark-up, liquidated damages, charges, cost of funds and cost of the suit from the date of default until realization.
The suit names Shaikh Brothers Flour Mills (Private) Limited and several directors/guarantors as defendants. The defendants are required to appear before the Additional Registrar (OS) in person, or by a pleader authorized to answer all material questions, on a day in October 2006 at 09:39 a.m., produce all documents intended in support of their defence and file their written statement. The summons warns that in default of appearance the suit will be heard and determined in the defendants' absence.
