Public Notice: Proposal to Rename Road and Chowk in Honor of Shaheed Squadron Leader Ahmed Faiz — District Council Sahiwal

Issuer: Office of the District Council Sahiwal.

Purpose: The District Council Sahiwal is proposing to rename an existing road and a prominent intersection to honor Shaheed Squadron Leader Ahmed Faiz. The section affected runs from Harappa Station to the Railway Crossing, specifically the portion originating from the Railway Crossing, passing through Chak No. 1/10-L, and extending up to Kakhan Wala Mor. This section is proposed to be renamed as "Shaheed Squadron Leader Ahmed Faiz Mlan Road." The prominent intersection (chowk) situated directly in front of Village Chak No. 1/10-L is proposed to be named "Shaheed Squadron Leader Ahmed Faiz Mlan Chowk" in recognition of his dedicated service and supreme sacrifice, having embraced shahadat during a training mission near the runway at Risal Pur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Regulatory basis: Proposal is under consideration in accordance with sub-rule 04 of the Punjab Local Governments (Naming of Public Places) Rules, 2018.

How to submit objections or suggestions: Any person having objections or suggestions may submit them in writing within fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice. Submissions must include the sender's name, CNIC, address and contact details, and should be delivered to the Office of the District Officer (I&S), District Council Sahiwal. Objections received after the prescribed period will not be entertained.
