Issuer: Pakistan Institute of Ophthalmology (PIO), Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi. Program: BS Optometry, 4-year degree (affiliated with the University of Health Sciences Lahore).

Eligibility: F.Sc (HSSC) or equivalent (Pre-medical) with minimum 60% marks. Age limit: 25 years.

Application fee: Rs. 2,000 (application processing fee). Payment: deposit to Askari Bank A/C No. 1811650000246 or Pay Order/Bank Draft of Rs. 2,000 in favor of "Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi".

How to apply: Applicants may apply online via the PIO Admissions Portal (https://pio.edu.pk/apply/) by uploading scanned documents and proof of deposit, or apply physically by downloading the application form from https://pio.edu.pk/ or obtaining it from the PIO Administration Office. Completed forms and documents, with Pay Order/Bank Draft if applying physically, must be submitted by hand or courier/post.

Admission test: Single paper of 100 MCQs (25 each from English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics). Test duration: 2 hours. Admission test date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.

Merit calculation: Matric (SSC)/equivalent 10%; F.Sc (HSSC) Pre-Medical/equivalent 40%; PIO admission test score 50%.

Hostel: Limited hostel accommodation available for candidates from far-flung areas, subject to availability.
