Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL) is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Shariah Advisor on a contractual basis. The role requires strong Islamic finance, Takaful/Re-Takaful expertise and demonstrated experience advising Takaful or re-Takaful operations.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Shahadat-ul-Alamiyah (Darse-Nizami) from a recognized Board of Madaris and a Bachelor's degree recognized by HEC (minimum 2nd Class); plus at least 4 years’ experience issuing Shariah rulings in Fiqh-ul-Muamalat, including Takhasus fil-Ifta, and adequate knowledge of Islamic finance and Takaful/Re-Takaful; - OR a postgraduate degree in Islamic jurisprudence / Usulooddin (LL.M Shariah) and a suitable certificate of Takaful. |
| Experience | Minimum seven (7) years’ experience as a Shariah Advisor in the Takaful industry. Proficiency in English and knowledge of applicable Pakistani laws. Preference for candidates with academic teaching experience and/or M.Phil./Ph.D. in Islamic Finance. |
| Key Responsibilities |
- Provide Shariah advisory to the Company and advise on Re-Takaful policies and products; - Ensure that Re-Takaful operations, investments, contracts and agreements comply with Shariah principles and applicable regulations; - Assist in formulation and implementation of Shariah-compliant Re-Takaful policies and procedures; - Provide technical advice, training and educational sessions to officers and officials on Takaful / Re-Takaful matters; - Fulfil duties as outlined in the Takaful Rules 2012 and undertake assignments as directed by the CEO or Board. |
| Terms & Remuneration | Appointment initially for two years, extendable based on satisfactory performance. Remuneration will be a market-based, fixed monthly consultancy/advisory fee, mutually agreed. Age limit maximum 55 years as on closing date. |
