Issuer: Pakistan Meteorological Department (Project Implementation Unit) – Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) Component II (Strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services) / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD (MHSP). | Software Engineer (Individual Consultant) | At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s) in one of: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computational Science. | Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in software engineering, systems integration and digital solution development. Demonstrated experience in software architecture/enterprise application development and integration; Linux systems, databases and server administration; cloud computing, virtualization and containerized environments; API development, middleware and enterprise interoperability; software implementation, systems integration, QA, testing and user-acceptance support; data governance, information security, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity. Experience with scientific/meteorological/hydrological/environmental or other mission-critical operational information systems is highly desirable. Strong technical documentation skills required. |
Employment: Contract, full-time based with PIU PMD in Islamabad. Consultants must provide:
- a Letter of Expression of Interest (EOI) describing qualifications, relevant skills and experience;
- a detailed, signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with references and demonstrated capacity to deliver the assignment in line with the ToRs.
