Issuer: Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan. Applications are invited on open contract basis for the position below.

| Qualification | BS/MS/MPhil in Geophysics or Applied Geophysics (Ph.D. preferred) from an HEC-recognized institution. Minimum 16 years of education. Higher degrees in Geophysics and relevant professional training preferred. |
| Experience | At least 8 years relevant post-qualification experience after completion of BSc, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or technical lead role. Experience required in mineral exploration, geophysical data acquisition, processing, interpretation, quality control and integrated subsurface modelling. |
| Age Limit | Maximum 38 years on the last date of application submission. |
| Preference | Candidates domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Balochistan will be preferred. |
Key Responsibilities (summary):
1. Plan, design and execute integrated geophysical programmes for mineral exploration using methods such as magnetic, gravity, ERT, IP, MT/AMT, radiometric and others.
2. Define survey grids, line orientation, acquisition parameters and quality-control procedures; prepare technical specifications and proposals.
3. Lead data acquisition, processing, interpretation, modelling and QA/QC of geophysical datasets; integrate geophysical results with geological mapping, structural interpretation and assay data.
4. Supervise calibration, mobilisation, operation and maintenance of geophysical equipment and instruments; manage field teams and contractors.
5. Use and interpret results from Oasis Montaj, 2D/3D modelling, RES2D/RES3D, Voxler, MagMap, Surfer, GIS and related software; prepare technical reports, maps, sections and recommendations.
