Issuer: Controller General of Accounts (CGA). The CGA, following directions of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, has introduced a Digital Life Certificate facility for pensioners in collaboration with NADRA using the NADRA Pak‑ID mobile application.
Purpose: Pensioners across the country can submit their Life Certificate remotely using the Pak‑ID mobile app. After successful NADRA verification via Pak‑ID, the Life Certificate will be automatically updated in the pension record, eliminating the need to visit a bank for submission. If a pensioner cannot submit via Pak‑ID due to technical problems or other difficulties, they may still submit the certificate to the Accountant General / District Accounts Offices through existing offline/manual procedures; such pensioners will remain subject to existing verification requirements for pension payments.
Pensioners covered: Initially introduced for pensioners under the CGA, including those paid through relevant Federal and Provincial Accounts Offices.
Complaints and assistance: Pensioners may submit complaints through the relevant Accountant General's office/website. Contact details of focal persons are provided below.
