CGA Public Notice: Digital Life Certificate Facility for Pensioners via NADRA Pak‑ID

Issuer: Controller General of Accounts (CGA). In accordance with directions of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, CGA has introduced a Digital Life Certificate facility for pensioners in collaboration with NADRA. Pensioners across the country with a smartphone can submit their Life Certificate from home using NADRA’s Pak‑ID mobile application. After successful verification through Pak‑ID, the Life Certificate will be automatically updated in the pension record.

Pensioners who cannot use the Pak‑ID mobile application due to technical problems or other difficulties may still submit their Life Certificate to the relevant Accountant General / District Accounts Office through the existing offline/manual procedure. Pensioners will remain subject to existing verification requirements for pension payments. Initially, the facility is introduced for pensioners under the CGA, including those served through the relevant Federal and Provincial Accounts Offices. With this facility, pensioners will no longer need to visit a bank solely to submit their Life Certificate.
