Hiring: School Teaching Interns (STIs) — Govt. Special Education Institutions, Gujranwala Division

Office of the District Education Officer (Special Education), Gujranwala invites applications from eligible candidates (men, women, and transgender) — residents of Punjab — for engagement as School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Government Special Education Institutions of Gujranwala Division (Districts: Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Hafizabad) under the STIs policy of the Government of Punjab.

Vacancies (overview): Positions include Junior and Senior Special Education Teachers across fields (for example Hearing Impairment (HI), Visual Impairment (VI), Intellectual/Multiple/Physical/Movement/Communication disability fields as applicable) and Computer Teacher posts. Posts are offered on STIs engagement policy on the prescribed pay scales (BS-16 / BS-17 for teaching posts and BS-16 for Computer Teacher).

Essential qualifications & age: Qualifications as per STI policy — generally M.A. or B.S. (second division or grade‑B) in Special Education or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Higher Education Commission; required subject‑specific proficiency where applicable (e.g., Braille proficiency for VI field). Typical age limit: 21–28 years with statutory relaxations (Male: up to 5 years; Female: up to 8 years; Disabled persons: up to 15 years subject to disability certificate).

Stipend & duration: Monthly stipend: Rs. 40,000/-. Engagement duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) for Financial Year 2026–27 or until arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility & selection: Candidates must meet prescribed qualifications and age limits per the STI policy. Fresh candidates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply; preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience. Selection will be through interview as per schedule.
