Co-Director / Professor — Dr. Panjwani Center, University of Karachi

Issuer: Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences), University of Karachi.

Applications are invited for one (1) position of Co-Director / Professor on a fixed-term appointment.

Minimum qualifications and experience: Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine, Biomedical Sciences or Health Sciences from an HEC-recognized university/institution; at least 12 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in relevant fields; strong scientific publications in internationally abstracted impact-factor journals as per approved TTS statutes. Candidates should be below 55 years of age. Preference for candidates with h-index above 40 and over 10,000 citations (Google Scholar).

Additional desirable experience: successful supervision of postgraduate researchers; securing national/international research and development grants; international academic and research linkages; experience leading research groups, centres, units or major programmes; experience leading research units/sections; background in molecular medicine, translational biomedical research or related fields. Candidates must demonstrate a clear vision for the Centre’s future growth including research development, external funding and international collaboration.
