UET Lahore Show-Cause and Personal Hearing Notice under PEEDA Act, 2006

Issuer: Registrar / Secretary to Syndicate, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.

Purpose: Show-cause cum personal hearing notice under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006 regarding alleged misconduct (willful absence from duty). The Syndicate considered the matter in its meeting held on 2026-07-25 and decided to afford a final opportunity of personal hearing.

Action required: The named teachers are called to submit a written show-cause reply within 15 days of the publication of this notice explaining why penalty of "Removal from Service" under Section 4 of the PEEDA Act, 2006 should not be imposed. Replies must reach the Registrar within the stipulated 15-day period; failure to reply will result in a decision in their absence. Financial recoveries and liquidated damages may also be imposed.

Hearing: A final opportunity for personal hearing will be provided during the Syndicate's upcoming meeting; the hearing schedule will be communicated to the addresses on university record or the addresses provided in the replies.

Record inspection: If the accused teachers wish to consult official records on which the charges are based, they may do so with prior arrangement with the Registrar within 7 days of publication of this notice.
