| Preferred/Additional | Professional accountancy qualifications; certifications in public financial management, procurement, or IT/systems are an asset. |
| Key Responsibilities | Design and implement a comprehensive financial management system (chart of accounts, policies, SOPs, internal controls); lead finance and procurement modules of the University ERP and build a digital-first, paperless finance function; oversee budgeting, planning, treasury, endowment management; ensure timely reporting, compliance, audit and risk management; oversee procurement and develop a high-performing finance team. |
| Experience | Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience in finance and accounting; preferably 5+ years as CFO, Director Finance, or Head of Finance. Proven record of setting up financial systems and controls, including ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo). Strong command of IFRS/IPSAS, taxation, audit and PPRA rules. Experience in higher education, trusts, not-for-profits or public sector preferred. |
