Law Admission Test (LAT) — Admission to 4‑Year LLB Degree Programmes in Pakistani Universities

Issuer: Higher Education Commission (Education Testing Council). Purpose: Admission test for candidates seeking admission to four‑year LLB degree programmes in HEC/PEC recognized public or private Pakistani universities/institutions and affiliated colleges.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent (12 years education); candidates appearing in the final HSSC/equivalent exam with result awaited; candidates who have already taken LAT may reappear to improve scores for merit‑based admissions.

Registration and schedule: Online registration portal will remain open until Tuesday, October 20, 2026 (24:00 hours). The LAT will tentatively be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026. Any change in the test date will be notified on the ETC website.

How to apply: Visit https://etc.hec.gov.pk for online registration. After registration candidates must submit required data and pay the test fee using available payment channels (1Link/IBFT/Bill/Invoice as per the portal) and verify payment on the ETC dashboard. Download Roll Number Slip from the ETC website before the test. The test fee is non‑refundable and non‑transferable.
