Bacha Khan University Charsadda Notice Directing Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Iqbal to Resume Duty

The University records show Dr. Azhar Iqbal was granted Extra Ordinary Leave without pay from 01-09-2024 to 31-08-2025 (Office Order No. 452/Reg/BKUC/2024 dated 02-10-2024). After expiry he requested further leave but was directed to resume duty (Letter No. 11721/Estt/Reg/BKUC/2025 dated 11-11-2025). Instead he submitted resignation effective 23-12-2025, which the Syndicate declined at its 39th meeting on 26-06-2026 (Notification No. 4115/Estt/Reg/BKUC/2026 dated 08-07-2026). The decision was communicated (Letter No. 4241/Estt/Reg/BKUC/2026 dated 10-07-2026) directing him to report within 14 days.

A request dated 21-07-2026 for acceptance of resignation in absentia was not acceded to by the Syndicate at its 40th meeting held on 04-08-2026. A final notice to resume duty within fifteen (15) days was issued vide Letter No. 6085/Estt/Reg/BKUC/2026 dated 11-09-2026, sent by registered acknowledgement to his home address, but he has not resumed duties to date. The University now again directs Dr. Azhar Iqbal to resume duty within 15 days from the date of issuance of this Notice; failing which ex-parte action, including removal from service under section 4(5) of the Employees Efficiency and Discipline Statutes-2016 of Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, may be taken.
