National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) invites applications for the position of Executive Director / Director General to lead N@DIR (National Data & Identity Research), a specialized national research and technology institute for biometrics, digital identity and registration-process research based in Islamabad.

| Executive Director / Director General — N@DIR | Maximum 55 years | Master's / MS / MPhil degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Computer / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Cybersecurity, Biometrics, Computer Vision / Digital Identity or a closely related discipline from an HEC‑recognized institution. PhD/Doctorate preferred. Additional qualifications in biometrics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, digital identity, applied cryptography or technology management are an advantage. | Minimum 15 years of relevant post‑qualification experience with substantial senior leadership in technology, research, engineering, biometrics, digital identity or high‑assurance ICT systems. Proven track record in managing large R&D operations, establishing national testing/benchmarking capabilities, technology transfer, and leading multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include establishing N@DIR as an internationally credible independent research and testing institution; developing and leading national research programmes in biometrics, digital identity and emerging technologies; overseeing development and certification of biometric systems (AFIS/ABIS, fingerprint, face, iris, multimodal); setting standards, certification and benchmarking capability; building academic and industry partnerships; driving commercialization and technology transfer; and representing N@DIR nationally and internationally. |
