Key eligibility & requirements
- Open merit: Pakistani citizens (including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan), dual nationals and overseas Pakistanis may apply on open merit seats. Candidates with foreign nationality may apply for foreign seats.
- Academic minimum: Minimum 60% aggregate in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or equivalent (IBCC equivalence for A-Level/12th Grade) with at least three subjects: Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.
- NUMS MDCAT 2026 (held Sunday, 13 September 2026) is mandatory. Minimum MDCAT pass marks: 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS. Alternate accepted tests and minimum scores (where applicable) are listed by NUMS.
- Weightage for merit determination: Entrance Test (NUMS) 50%, HSSC/F.Sc/Equivalent 40%, Matric/SSC/Equivalent 10%.
Application fees & deadlines
- Regular application fee: Rs. 8,500 (Open Merit). Foreign seat application fee: Rs. 50,000 (non-refundable). Late fee application: Rs. 9,500 (Open Merit) / Rs. 55,000 (Foreign).
