The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) invites applications for the post of Executive Director / Director General to lead N@DIR (National Institute for Demographics and Identity Research), a specialized national research and technology institute under NADRA focused on biometrics, digital identity, registration-process research, independent testing and sovereign ABIS/AFIS technologies.

Preference to candidates holding Ph.D. / Doctorate. Additional qualifications in biometrics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, digital identity, applied cryptography or related fields advantageous. | Minimum 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience including substantial senior leadership experience in technology, research, engineering, biometrics, digital identity or high-assurance ICT systems. Key responsibilities include establishing N@DIR as a national centre of excellence for biometrics and digital-identity technologies; leading national research programmes in biometrics, AI/ML and identity assurance; overseeing development, testing and commercialization of biometric devices and services; forming strategic partnerships with universities, research institutions and industry; and representing N@DIR in national and international forums.
Applicants should demonstrate strong managerial skills, experience in research & development, technology transfer and intellectual property, and the ability to build multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers and technology specialists.
