National Bank of Pakistan invites applications for the position of Wing Head - Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) (SVP/EVP) in the Bank's Risk Management function based in Karachi. The role leads design and implementation of the Bank's ESG and sustainability reporting framework, coordinates ESG and climate-related data, and supports integration of environmental and social considerations into the Bank's risk management and business strategy.

| Educational / Professional Qualification | Minimum graduation or equivalent from a HEC-recognized university/college. Graduation or Master's in Finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Development Studies, Public Policy, Environmental Economics, Climate Finance or Development Finance preferred. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA ESG/Climate & Sustainable Investing, GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR), GRI, SASB/ISSB, TCFD, ESRM, IFC Performance Standards) will be preferred. |
| Experience | Minimum 10 years of experience including at least 4 years in Green Finance, Climate Finance, ESG strategy development and/or renewable energy related project finance with development organizations, multilateral agencies, consultancies, advisory services, international NGOs or financial institutions. Exposure to climate funds, ESG frameworks, green taxonomies or SBP Green Banking Guidelines considered an advantage. |
| Key skills & expertise | Working knowledge of ESG, climate finance and sustainability reporting standards (e.g., IFRS S1/S2, GRI, TCFD); familiarity with SBP Green Banking Guidelines and Green Taxonomy; strong analytical and data management skills; experience in project management and stakeholder engagement; excellent written and verbal communication; training in environmental and social risk assessment/monitoring & evaluation is an advantage. |
| Main duties & responsibilities | Lead design and implementation of ESG and sustainability reporting framework and related policies; coordinate business and support functions to collect, validate and consolidate ESG/climate data; prepare ESG disclosures and sustainability reports for senior management and regulators; track local and international ESG developments and assess implications; establish ESG data management, metrics and reporting controls; partner with Finance, HR, Operations, Compliance and other functions to identify and report material ESG risks and performance indicators; build ESG capacity across the Bank through guidance and training; liaise with Internal Audit, SBP and other regulators; contribute to sustainable and green finance agenda and product development; perform other assignments as required. |
| Employment type | Contractual for three years, may be renewed at Management's discretion; selected candidates will be offered compensation package and benefits per Bank policy. |
