The recovery proceedings have been instituted under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001 (Ordinance XLVI of 2001). The defendant is summoned to appear before the court and must submit an application for leave to defend within 30 days of service of the summons, in accordance with Section 10 of the Ordinance.
If the defendant fails to obtain leave to defend, the court may pass a decree in favour of the plaintiff. Copies of the plaint and accompanying documents may be obtained from the court office.
