Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Final Notice to Dr. Pirzada to Resume Duties

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has issued a final notice to Dr. Pirzada, Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, directing him to resume his university duties within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of the notice.

The notice is addressed to Dr. Pirzada at the Department of Chemistry, AWKUM, and to Dr. Pirzada, son of Haji Zar Khan, at Haji Essa Khan House, Koki Khail, Village Wazirdand, Jamrud, Khyber Agency, FATA, Pakistan.

Dr. Pirzada was assigned two BS courses for the Fall Semester 2025 by the Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry and was directed to perform his teaching duties. He has remained absent from duty since September 1, 2025, without prior permission or approval from the competent authority. An explanation notice concerning his absence directed him to resume duties immediately, but he did not return.

Notice No. 6250, dated September 7, 2026, was subsequently served under Section 14 of the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Employees Efficiency and Discipline Statutes, 2016 (Amended 2025), directing him to resume duties within fifteen (15) days. He has not joined duties to date.

The university Syndicate, acting as the Authorized Officer under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities (Amendment) Act, 2024, read with the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Employees Efficiency and Discipline Statutes, 2016 (Amended 2025), again directed him to resume duties in its 56th meeting held on October 17, 2026.

Failure to comply within fifteen (15) days from publication will lead to ex parte proceedings or a decision under the applicable Efficiency and Discipline Statutes, which may result in the major penalty of removal from service.
