GEPCO Jobs 2026 for Balochistan Quota – Junior Engineer and Assistant Manager Vacancies

Gujranwala Electric Power Company Limited (GEPCO), an electricity utility serving more than 5.1 million consumers, invites applications through M/S National Testing Service (NTS) from candidates domiciled in Balochistan. Five vacancies are available on a contract basis with a lump-sum pay package. The application deadline is 23 November 2026.

Eligibility and Employment Conditions

The age limits include five years of general age relaxation. Further relaxation is restricted to three years for candidates belonging to scheduled castes and Buddhists. Government, WAPDA and DISCO employees who have completed two years of continuous service by the application closing date may apply up to the age of 43 years.

Only candidates holding a valid Balochistan domicile certificate are eligible. Candidates without PEC registration cannot apply for Junior Engineer (Electrical) / SDO at serial number 01. Candidates with 16 years of education in the relevant discipline, duly recognized by HEC, are eligible to apply. Applicants whose results or transcripts show CGPA must obtain percentage-based results or transcripts from their respective HEC-recognized institutions or universities before applying.

Applicants must have completed the required qualifications by the closing date. Candidates awaiting results, or whose final transcript, degree, domicile or other certificates have not been issued by that date, will not be considered.

Appointments will initially be for three years on a contract with a lump-sum pay package, extendable subject to satisfactory performance. Contractual service will not be regularized at any future stage. Selected candidates will perform duties within GEPCO's jurisdiction.

Only qualified and eligible candidates may appear in the written test. Candidates shortlisted on merit under the applicable recruitment policy will be called for interview. No travelling or daily allowance will be admissible for the test or interview.

Serving government employees must apply through the proper channel. At interview, they must provide a departmental No Objection Certificate stating their appointment date and the nature of their employment, including whether it is regular or contractual. Original documents and one set of attested photocopies must be presented at interview or joining.

Application Procedure and Fees

Read the instructions before completing the relevant application form on www.nts.org.pk. Applications must be submitted directly through the NTS website. Applications delivered by hand to GEPCO or NTS, or submitted through courier service, will not be accepted. A separate application form is required for each post.

The total test fee is Rs. 540. Under Establishment Division instructions, candidates pay 50%, amounting to Rs. 270, with GEPCO paying the remaining Rs. 270 directly to NTS. Submit the completed application with the prescribed candidate fee of Rs. 270.

Pay the fee to NTS through 1Link 1Bill participating banks, ATM, internet banking, mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash or TCS Express counters.

The last date to apply is 23 November 2026. The online application portal will close at 11:59 p.m. that day. Incomplete applications, applications containing incorrect information and applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.

Test Arrangements and Recruitment Rules

Roll number slips containing the test centre, timing and test date will be uploaded to the NTS website at least one week before the test. Candidates will also receive information through the email address and mobile number supplied in their application. Visit the NTS website regularly for test schedules, updates and results.

Contact NTS for questions about the written test, provisional and final candidate lists, roll number slips, test centres and results. Litigation relating to recruitment tests conducted by NTS will be handled by NTS at its own level.

GEPCO may withhold or cancel the whole recruitment process or recruitment for any post at any stage without assigning a reason. It may also increase or decrease the number of posts according to requirements. Concealment or misrepresentation of facts at any stage will disqualify a candidate from the current recruitment and future GEPCO tests or examinations.

Dismissed or screened-out employees of any organization, and candidates with a criminal record, are ineligible for GEPCO employment. Clearance of candidates' character and antecedents from the relevant agencies or police is mandatory. GEPCO is an equal opportunity employer.
