Al Baraka Bank Recovery Suit 184/2026 – Banking Court VII Karachi Summons

Banking Court No. VII, Karachi, presided over by Judge Dr. Alam Aziz Solangi, has issued summons in Recovery Suit No. 184 of 2026 filed by Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited for recovery of Rs. 17,346,905.

The bank’s registered office is at 162 Bangalore Town, Main Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. The court is located at Block 48-C, Pakistan Secretariat, Saddar, Karachi.

The proceedings are under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001, Ordinance XLVI of 2001. The defendant is summoned to appear before the court on 3 December 2026 at 8:30 a.m.

To contest the suit, the defendant must obtain leave to defend by submitting an application within 30 days of the first service of summons. The application must comply with Section 10 of the Ordinance and address the substantial questions of law and fact requiring evidence. If leave to defend is not obtained, the court may pass a decree in favour of the bank.
