Pakistan Railways – Contract Re-engagement of Retired Signal Staff (Sub Engineer / Signal Inspector) – Lahore

Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office Lahore invites applications for re-engagement of retired Signal Department staff on a one-year contract (subject to physical fitness and satisfactory performance). Selected candidates will be appointed on contract terms with conditions as listed below.

Eligibility & key conditions: Retired officials from the posts of Sub Engineer Signal (BS-11) / Signal Inspector (BS-16) in Pakistan Railways are eligible. Maximum age limit: 62 years. Minimum qualifications: Matric or DAE in Electrical / Electronics / Telecom (Board of Technical Education) OR Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical / Electronics / Telecom with more than 3 years' experience in railway signaling projects. Only candidates who have previously worked in the stated categories are eligible. Those compulsorily removed from service or retired on medical grounds are not eligible.

Appointment & pay: Selected candidates will draw salary according to their last pay drawn along with usual allowances admissible under contract appointment rules. Contracts are for one year and may be extended for a further year if required by Pakistan Railways and on satisfactory performance. No TA/DA will be paid for interview or medical examination. Selected candidates must pass medical fitness examination at Pakistan Railways Hospital. The competent authority reserves the right to reject applications or change number of posts without assigning a reason. Selected persons may be posted anywhere in the railway system.

Required documents (attested copies): educational certificates, computerized National Identity Card, retirement letter, copy of PPO, relevant service/experience certificates, recent passport-size photographs. Also include three stamped envelopes with the applicant's complete address and cell number.

How to apply: Submit a typed application with complete information and attested copies of required documents to the Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Empress Road, Lahore. A postal order / processing fee of Rs. 1,000 for each application must be attached.
