NEPRA Public Hearing: Fuel Charges Adjustment for May 2026 (Ex-WAPDA Distribution Companies)

Issuer: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). Purpose: Public hearing on the fuel charges adjustment (FCA) requested by Central Power Purchasing Agency - Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G) for the month of May 2026 for ex-WAPDA distribution companies (XWDISCOs).

Summary: CPPA-G has requested an increase in the fuel charge of Rs.0.8173 per kWh for May 2026 over the reference fuel charge. The request relates to adjustments in the approved tariff on account of variations in fuel charges and policy guidelines. NEPRA will consider applicability of the adjustment to all relevant consumers, and notes that in light of Federal Government guidelines on uniform FCAs the Authority’s determination for XWDISCOs shall also be applicable to K-Electric consumers where appropriate.

Participation and submissions: All interested/affected parties may provide written and/or oral objections as permissible under the law at the public hearing. Copies of the relevant Act, Rules, Regulation, Codes, and NEPRA determinations requested by CPPA-G are available on NEPRA’s website.
