Auction Notice: Minor Minerals Mining Leases — District Kohat (Auction 2026-06-30)

District Auction Committee, District Kohat (Mineral Development Kohat) invites sealed bids from contractors registered with the Directorate General Mines & Minerals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for grant of mining leases of minor minerals in District Kohat as individual blocks (excluding blocks/areas of Chorlakki, Khoshal Garh, Dhok Shahbaz and Kamar). Leases are offered for a period of one (1) year on an "As is where is" basis. Auction date: 2026-06-30 at 11:00 AM in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohat. If auction cannot be held on that date for any reason, next date is 2026-07-01 at 11:00 AM.

How to apply & key conditions

- Only persons/firms registered with the Directorate General Mines & Minerals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Minor Minerals Contractors may participate. Interested parties may register with the Directorate General before bidding.

- Application forms are available on any working day. Application form fee: Rs. 1,000/- (non-refundable). Applications must be submitted at least three (03) working days prior to the auction.

- Call deposit for each lot must be submitted (details and designated Bank of Khyber account numbers are provided in the office notice and should be paid before auction).

- Applicants must submit attested copies of CNIC, income tax registration (NTN) certificate, partnership deed/affidavit of association and proof of paid-up capital if applicable.

- Blacklisted/defaulting parties or those not registered with the Directorate General are not allowed to participate.

- The successful bidder shall deposit one-fourth (1/4) of the total bid amount as security within three (03) days of auction; failure will result in forfeiture of call deposit and disqualification. Final demarcation/allotment letter must be obtained and lease formalities completed as per rules (successful bidder to demarcate leased area within fifteen (15) days of allotment letter).

- The successful bidder will be responsible to pay excise duty, withholding tax, professional tax and any other government dues as applicable and to pay surface rent to landowners as per relevant law. Work must comply with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Act 2017 (Amended). Transportation of extracted minerals must use authorized transport challans; unauthorized transportation is prohibited.
