Shift Charge Engineer – Gulpur Hydropower Plant, Barail (Kotli), Azad Jammu & Kashmir

KOEN Pakistan AJ&K invites applications for the position of Shift Charge Engineer for Gulpur Hydropower Plant located at Barail, Kotli, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (Pakistan). Attractive salary package and other benefits will be offered in accordance with company policy.

Main duties and eligibility:

The role includes supervising all shift personnel and plant operation in accordance with O&M guidelines, technical limits and approved operating procedures; coordinating with NTDC/CPPA/NTDC, 132kV Dayalal & Kotli Grid Stations, and contractors; maintaining close liaison for operating and plant status; preparing and ensuring safe isolation and permit-to-work issuance for repair and maintenance; operating and testing plant equipment; maintaining logs, records and inspection schedules; ensuring orderly shift handovers; implementing on-job training and improving technical competencies of shift personnel; operating plant through SCADA and manual systems; and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, SOPs and LOTO procedures.

Technical knowledge required: Good working knowledge of plant systems including generators, turbines, GIS, power transformers, EDGs and associated auxiliaries, and hands-on experience with SCADA and plant control systems.
