National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites applications for the position of Unit Head – Data Extraction & Coordination (AVP) in the Information Technology area based in Karachi. The role requires proven MIS and database experience within banking/financial institutions and offers a contractual appointment for three years (renewable).

| Educational / Professional Qualification | Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent and/or Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent from an HEC‑recognised local or international institution. Candidates with relevant certifications will be preferred. |
| Experience | Minimum 06 years of experience in the IT field, of which 03 years should be in Support & Operations of IT Applications within a banking or financial institution. Experience in developing and executing queries and procedures on multi‑platform databases is preferred. |
| Key Skills & Expertise | Developing complex queries and stored procedures; proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, and .NET technologies; hands‑on experience in providing technical and operational MIS support; strong SQL scripting skills for data extraction and updates; analytical skills to identify root causes of application issues; excellent written and verbal communication and cross‑functional collaboration. |
| Main Duties & Responsibilities | Perform daily/weekly/monthly data extractions and upload to MIS database; develop and maintain MIS data extraction scripts and ensure they remain up to date; archive MIS database records; ensure timely and accurate data availability; ensure availability of system data for defined periods; prepare audit reports for State Bank of Pakistan inspections; ensure backup of critical resources; manage customer‑wise advances including regular and Non‑Performing Loan (NPL) accounts; coordinate with database administration for repository sizing and enhancements; assist in internal/external audits and State Bank inspections; perform other assignments as required. |
| Employment Type | Contractual for three years (may be renewed at Management discretion). Selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits as per Bank’s policy. |
