LDA Public Notice: Construction Alert During Monsoon — Excavation Prohibited Until 15 August

Issuer: Lahore Development Authority (Government of Punjab).

Purpose: Safety advisory for owners, builders, consultants, architects, structural engineers and resident engineers regarding construction site precautions during the approaching monsoon season.

Key instructions and requirements:

• Ensure proper shoring and retaining arrangements at construction sites.
• Take necessary measures to safeguard adjoining properties, public infrastructure and human life.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure structural stability and safety.
• Maintain all required safety and protective measures throughout the construction period.
• Furnish certificates from the concerned Architect, Structural Engineer and Resident Engineer regarding the stability and safety of the structure within 3 days to LDA based on site inspection report.

Special restriction: Excavation is prohibited up to 15th August.

Warning and legal actions: In case of non-compliance, LDA reserves the right to initiate actions including registration of FIR, sealing of property, cancellation of building plan and imposition of heavy fines.
