National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites applications for the position of Unit Head - Data Extraction & Coordination (AVP) based in Karachi. This is a contractual appointment to support MIS/data extraction, coordination and database administration within the Bank's Information Technology area.

| Educational / Professional Qualification | Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent. Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by HEC preferred. Candidates with relevant certifications will be preferred. |
| Experience | Minimum 06 years of experience in the field of IT, out of which minimum 03 years of experience in Support & Operations of IT Applications within a banking or financial institution. Experience in developing/executing queries and procedures on multi-platform databases preferred. |
| Key Skills & Expertise | Demonstrated expertise in developing complex queries and writing stored procedures; proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, .NET technologies; hands-on experience in providing technical and operational support to business end-users; strong SQL scripting ability for data extraction and updates; strong analytical skills and excellent written & verbal communication; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. |
| Main Duties / Responsibilities | Carry out daily, weekly and monthly data extractions from multiple systems and upload into the MIS database; develop and maintain MIS data extraction scripts; archive MIS database and ensure adequate storage; ensure timely and accurate availability of data; ensure availability of system data for defined periods; prepare audit reports for State Bank of Pakistan inspections; backup critical resources; manage customer-wise advances including NPL accounts; coordinate with database administration for repository sizing and enhancements; assist in internal/external audits and State Bank inspections; perform other assignments as directed by supervisors. |
| Assessment / Interviews | Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interview(s). |
| Employment Type & Terms | Contractual basis for three years (may be renewed at Management discretion). Selected candidates will be offered compensation and other benefits as per Bank policy. National Bank is an equal opportunity employer. |
