A leading organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager - Taxation to manage tax compliance, reporting and litigation matters.

Position Assistant Manager - Taxation
Location Karachi
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum part-qualified professional certification or MBA (Finance) — fully qualified professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in taxation, tax litigation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate filing of monthly sales tax returns (federal & provincial), annual income tax returns and withholding statements.
  • Reconcile sales tax and income tax returns with accounting ledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Draft responses to tax department notices; assist in filing appeals before relevant authorities and maintain records of legal proceedings and notices.
  • Prepare and manage regular tax position and MIS reports to track current and upcoming tax liabilities.
