Minimum Qualifications & Experience (summary):

Basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC (or M.Sc. of a recognized university for basic-science/non-medical graduates).

Postgraduate qualification: D.Sc./Ph.D./FCPS/MD/MS/M.Phil or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC in the respective subject. (DPH for Public Health institutions where applicable.)

Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in a postgraduate institute OR 8 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institution.

Research: Must have produced at least three research papers. If the teaching experience is in an undergraduate institution, at least five research papers are required.

General Instructions & Application Process:

• Appointments will be made on regular basis in accordance with rules and regulations of Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore.
• Age relaxation will be given as per Federal Government rules. Provincial/Federal government employees with a minimum of 2 years regular continuous service may request age relaxation up to a maximum age of 55 years where applicable.
• Disabled quota, minority quota, women quota and transgender quota will be observed as per policy.
• Candidates already in Government service must apply through proper channel.
• Advance copies and applications received by hand/courier/postal service will not be accepted.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview/joining.
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel/change the recruitment process at any stage.
