Associate Professor (BPS-19) Vacancies – Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore

Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI), Lahore invites applications for regular posts of Associate Professor (BPS-19) in the following disciplines. Maximum age: 45 years. Candidates must meet the medical and academic qualifications, experience and research requirements as given below.

Essential Qualifications & Experience (summary):

- Basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC. For basic sciences, an M.Sc. or equivalent recognized degree in the relevant subject is acceptable for non-medical graduates.

- Postgraduate qualification: MD, MS, FCPS, D.Sc., Ph.D., M.Phil. or equivalent recognized qualification in the respective subject (FCPS/MD with DPH for public health posts where applicable).

- Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in a postgraduate institute OR 8 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institution.

- Research: At least 3 research papers. If teaching experience is in an undergraduate institution, at least 5 research papers are required.

- Appointments will be on regular basis in accordance with SZPGMI rules and regulations.

- Age relaxation and reservation (disabled, minorities, women, transgender) will be observed as per Federal Government rules.

- Government employees may apply through proper channel. Provincial/Federal employees with a minimum of 2 years' regular continuous service may be eligible for upper age relaxation up to 10 years, subject to a maximum upper age limit of 55 years.

- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview/joining. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
