Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore invites applications for regular posts of Associate Professor (BPS-19) in specified specialties. Appointments will be made on a regular basis in accordance with Institute rules and PM&DC regulations.

Minimum Qualifications & Acceptable Equivalents
Basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC. For basic sciences (non-medical graduates) M.Sc. of a recognized university in the relevant subject is acceptable.
Postgraduate qualification: D.Sc., Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil. in the respective subject. FCPS/MD with DPH (for public health institutes) or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject at a postgraduate institute; OR
- 8 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institution.
Research Requirements
- Must have produced at least three research papers; OR
- If the required teaching experience is from an undergraduate institution, the candidate must have produced at least five research papers.
General Instructions & Conditions
1. Advance copies of applications will not be entertained. Age relaxation and other concessions will be as per Federal Government rules and institute policy.
2. Disabled quota, minority quota, women quota and transgender quota will be observed as per rules.
3. Candidates already in Government service must apply through proper channel. Government employees with a minimum of 2 years regular continuous service may be eligible for age relaxation up to a maximum age limit of 55 years.
4. The Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel or postpone recruitment or withhold appointment against any post. In case of any false or forged information, the institute may terminate service and take legal action.
5. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for test/interview/joining.
