Public Hearing: EIA for Oil & Gas Seismic Survey in Lilla Block (EL 3272-16), Punjab

Issuer: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab in coordination with Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).

Purpose: Public hearing on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for proposed seismic survey and oil & gas exploration activities in Lilla Block (EL 3272-16) in Chakwal & Khushab districts, Punjab. EPA-Punjab has admitted the application and approval is required under Section-12 of the Punjab Environmental Protection Act, 1997.

The EIA report is available for review via the EPA Punjab e-Library. Stakeholders and the general public may access the report, download it, and submit written comments to the Director (EIA), EPA Punjab. Comments may be submitted by post to Gate No. 10, National Hockey Stadium, Ferozepur Road, Lahore, or via the EPA e-Library within 7 days from the date of publication of this notice.

How to participate: All stakeholders and the general public are invited to attend the hearing to share proposals and comments. Participants are requested to review the EIA beforehand via EPA Punjab e-Library: https://epd.punjab.gov.pk/elibrary. During the public hearing, participants may communicate comments verbally or submit written comments through the e-library or by post.
