HEC/ETC HAT 2026 — Test Registration Open (Deadline 2026-08-03)

Issuer: Education Testing Council (ETC), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Sector H-9, Islamabad. Purpose: Registration and information for the HAT (HAT) admission/entrance test for MS/M.Phil/Ph.D./Doctoral programs and other higher-education admission streams.

Key dates and eligibility:

• Online registration open: Sunday, 2026-07-19 to Monday, 2026-08-03 (last date for online registration: 2026-08-03).
• HAT Test date: Sunday, 2026-08-30.
• Qualifying score: 60 out of 100. Validity of test score: two (02) years.

How to apply and fees:

• Register online at: https://etc.hec.gov.pk. For registration help: https://onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk.
• After online registration, submit only the completed online application. Incomplete or saved-only applications will not be entertained.
• Pay the test fee via 1Link/IBILL invoice payment services using the generated consumer number. Payment details are available in the ETC Dashboard. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Print and bring your Roll Number Slip and original CNIC/Passport to the test centre on test day.
• Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, cameras, or any recording devices are strictly prohibited in the test centre.

• Ensure name, CNIC, number, and other details are correct in the online application; discrepancies may bar entry to the test.
• Applicants will receive email/SMS notifications and are required to download their Roll Number Slip from the ETC portal.
