Project Implementation Unit (BID-PIU) for Component-A of BWSPP invites applications for the position of Social Safeguards Specialist. Eligible candidates should meet the qualification and experience requirements and submit applications as instructed below.

Social Safeguards Specialist	01	Master's degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Sociology, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Community Development, Environmental Studies or related field from a recognized university.	Minimum 7 years post-qualification general professional experience in social development, social safeguards, resettlement, rural/community engagement, integrated water resources, flood management and rural infrastructure. Specific experience in development sector activities related to irrigation, water resources, flood management, rural infrastructure and livelihood improvement. Proven experience in community-driven development projects, stakeholder consultations, participatory approaches, training, awareness raising, socio-economic surveys, and engagement with vulnerable and gender groups. Experience working in similar geographical and socio-cultural contexts, including remote, rural and flood-prone areas; familiarity with local governance, tribal systems and socio-economic conditions of Balochistan will be accorded due weight. Demonstrated experience in grievance redress mechanisms, land acquisition processes and social risk mitigation measures.
