National Bank of Pakistan – Conversion of Selected Conventional Branches to Islamic Banking

Issuer: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). Purpose: Inform customers that selected conventional NBP branches have been approved by the State Bank of Pakistan for conversion into NBP’s Aiteamad Islamic Banking branches. Intimation letters along with conversion letters have been dispatched to affected account holders with instructions for converting existing conventional NBP accounts to Islamic banking accounts.

Effective conversion: The notice lists multiple branches across Pakistan with the conversion date shown as 07 Sep 2026 for the listed branches. Customers may continue to use Savings Accounts and current accounts as per existing terms until contacted; Murabahah business and other Islamic product terms will apply after conversion as applicable.
