Public Prosecution Department, Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore issues a final show-cause notice under Section 7(f) of the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006 to Assistant District Public Prosecutor Mr. Jahanzab Umer (R/O Kot Balouch, Tehsil & District M.B. Din).
The notice records that after expiry of 730 days of Extraordinary/Ex-Pakistan leave granted by departmental order dated 25-07-2022, the officer was required to submit his joining report by 14-06-2024 but failed to do so and has remained absent from duty since 14-06-2024. A prior show-cause notice (ref. SOE-IPP/24-446/2011-264 dated 18-02-2026) required a written reply within seven days but no reply was submitted. A personal hearing notice dated 12-03-2026 was also not attended.
The Department proposes disciplinary action under Section 4 of the PEEDA Act, 2006, which may include dismissal from service or removal from service for misconduct. The addressee is directed to appear before the Secretary, Public Prosecution Department, Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore, as Competent Authority, failing which action under Section 4 of the PEEDA Act, 2006 will be taken and no excuse will be accepted.
