HRSG Search & Advisory invites applications on behalf of National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) for the post of Director General (Legal). The role leads and supervises NGC's entire legal and litigation function, providing authoritative legal advice to senior management, the CLRO and the Board, managing litigation before courts, tribunals and regulatory forums, and ensuring the organisation's policies, contracts and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.

| Key responsibilities | Manage NGC's legal and litigation function; provide legal advice to senior management, CLRO and Board; manage litigation before courts, tribunals and regulators; ensure compliance of policies, contracts and operations with laws and regulations. |
| Minimum qualifications | LLB (minimum 2nd Division) from a recognized university (mandatory). LLM or higher degree from a recognized/preferably foreign university and enrollment as an Advocate of the High Court / Supreme Court preferred. |
| Experience | Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in litigation, legal practice or legal affairs including substantial experience in handling cases before superior courts. At least 3 years of experience in a senior legal management role within a public-sector organisation, regulatory body, corporation or large law firm. |
| Additional requirements | Candidates must meet the Fit & Proper Criteria under Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises Act, 2023. Maximum age: 45 years as of the closing date. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted; educational and professional documents will be required during recruitment. The post is contractual with a lump-sum pay package. NGC may require travel and extended working hours. |
