NEPRA Public Notice Seeking Comments on Proposed Amendments to Wheeling Auction Process (ISMO Submission)

Authority: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA)

Subject: Proposed amendments in the Wheeling Auction Process submitted by the Independent System and Market Operator (ISMO) for approval of the Authority under the existing Wheeling Auction Process (pursuant to Clause 112 and Determination No. NEPRA/R/Dir(Tech)/NCM-13/6649-65).

Proposed amendments relate to:

• Mandatory co-location requirement for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with solar or wind generation facilities participating in the Auction.
• Extension of Proposal Submission Deadline by ISMO for up to one (01) month.
• Constitution of a Grievance Resolution Committee for redressal of eligibility grievances raised by Auction Participants.

Submission of comments: All stakeholders, interested parties, and the general public are invited to submit written comments within seven (07) days of the date of publication of the notice. The proposed amendments are available on NEPRA's website: https://nepra.org.pk/newsite.
