NEPRA Public Notice: Call for Comments on Proposed Wheeling Auction Process Amendments (ISMO)

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) invites stakeholders and the public to submit written comments on proposed amendments to the Wheeling Auction Process submitted by the Independent System and Market Operator of Pakistan (ISMO). The proposed changes include a mandatory requirement for co-location of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with solar or wind generation participating in the auction, extension of the Proposal Submission Deadline by up to one month, and constitution of a Grievance Redressal Committee for eligibility grievances. The amendments relate to the Wheeling Auction Process approved vide Determination No. NEPRA/RD (Tech/NCM-136549-65) dated March 24, 2026.

Comments must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of the date of publication of this notice. The proposed amendments are available on NEPRA's website (https://nepra.org.pk/news.php).
