K-Electric Public Safety Notice: Illegal Encroachments on Power Network Endanger Public

Issuer: K-Electric (KE).

Purpose: Public safety advisory warning against illegal encroachments, unauthorized connections and tampering with K-Electric infrastructure (overhead lines, poles, transformers, meters and other equipment). Such activities create serious risks of electrocution, fire, power outages and damage to property and life.

Key points:

- Unauthorized use or attachment to KE assets is prohibited and creates a direct danger to the public.
- KE will take action to protect the network and public safety, which may include removal of encroachments, disconnection of illegal connections and initiation of legal proceedings against responsible parties.
- Illegal alterations or unsafe use of electrical installations can cause interruptions and financial loss to consumers as well as pose life-threatening hazards.

Action required: Residents, builders and property owners must refrain from any unauthorized work on or use of KE equipment and must obtain proper permissions before any electrical work near KE assets.
