National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites qualified, experienced banking professionals for the senior position of SVP / Wing Head – Credit Approvals (Retail & Program Lending) in the Risk Management function based in Karachi.

Reporting To	Chief Credit Officer - Retail & Program Lending
Location	Karachi, Sindh
Educational / Professional Qualifications	Minimum graduation or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university/college/institute; candidates with a Master’s degree and/or relevant professional certification(s) preferred.
Experience	Minimum 10 years of banking experience in a commercial bank with a total of 15+ years in credit processing either in Retail and/or SME and/or Agri financing.
Skills & Expertise	Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities Sound business acumen and understanding of credit products and services Strong interpersonal, communication and credit evaluation skills Knowledge of risk policies, regulatory and emerging trends
Main Duties / Responsibilities	Ensure lending is in line with bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines Monitor credit portfolio and underwriting to identify gaps/deviations and take corrective action Maintain strong control over underwriters’ performance, decision-making and post-approval processes Prepare and present performance reports; recommend and approve credit proposals Strengthen credit delivery and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures Support quality checks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and credit policies Manage credit team, training and development for credit approval staff
Assessment / Interview	Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for interview(s).
Employment Type	Contractual basis (three years with possible renewal at Bank’s discretion). Selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits as per Bank policy.
