Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites applications for the position of Manager (Geophysics). PMDC is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Energy, Government of Pakistan. Candidates with strong academic background and substantial post-qualification experience in mineral exploration and geophysical programs are encouraged to apply.

Location	Head Office: Plot No.13, Sector H-9, Islamabad
Minimum Qualification	BS/MS/MPhil in Geophysics or Applied Geophysics (Ph.D. preferred) from an HEC-recognized institution. Higher degrees and relevant professional training are preferred.
Experience	At least 8 years post-qualification experience after completion of BS (including at least 3 years in a supervisory or technical lead role). Experience required in mineral exploration, geophysical data acquisition, processing, interpretation, quality control and integrated subsurface modeling.
Age Limit	Maximum 38 years on the last date of application submission.
Preference	Candidates domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Balochistan will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities	Design and execute integrated geophysical programs for mineral exploration using magnetic, gravity, ERT, IP, MT/AMT, radiometric and other methods. Define survey grids, line orientation, station spacing, acquisition parameters and quality-control procedures; prepare technical specifications and field QA/QC plans. Lead QA/QC, field acquisition, processing, quality control, interpretation and integration of geophysical datasets. Supervise operations, field mobilization, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting for geophysical surveys. Process and interpret geophysical data using software such as Oasis Montaj, ZOND/GM 2D/3D, EarthImager, RES2D, Voxler, MapMag, Surfer, GIS, Global Mapper and related packages. Prepare technical reports, maps, sections, models, recommendations and presentations; integrate geophysical results with geological mapping, structural interpretation and other datasets. Manage geophysical databases, ensure data validation, coordinate system verification, metadata documentation and secure archiving. Supervise geophysical teams and contractors ensuring compliance with approved survey designs, schedules, budgets and HSE requirements.
