Chief Internal Auditor – Career Opportunity at Independent System & Market Operator (ISMO), Pakistan

Evaluate accounting, financial, credit and operational activities as an independent appraisal function; review adequacy and application of accounting, financial and operational controls; formulate and implement internal audit programs covering all aspects of financial transactions; develop and lead an effective internal audit team; liaise with external and commercial auditors; coordinate special audits and investigations as directed by the Board Audit Committee and the Board; and evaluate effectiveness of compliance functions.

Member of a recognized professional accounting body (CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputable local or international university/institute.

Minimum 12 years of post-qualification relevant experience, including at least 5 years in senior management or executive-level roles. Demonstrated expertise in auditing, risk management, internal control, corporate governance, compliance of financial reliability in public/private sector, and knowledge of governance, risks and controls, especially in SOEs or public sector projects.

Must meet Fit & Proper criteria as defined under Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.
