Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites applications for the post of Manager (Geophysics) at its Head Office in Islamabad. PMDC is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan, responsible for exploration, mining and marketing of mineral resources.

Position	Manager (Geophysics)
Qualification	BS/MS/MPhil in Geophysics or Applied Geophysics (Ph.D. preferred) from an HEC-recognized institution. Minimum of 16 years of education. Higher degrees and relevant professional training are preferred.
Experience	Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience including at least 3 years in a supervisory or technical lead role. Experience required in mineral exploration, geophysical data acquisition, processing, interpretation, quality control and integrated subsurface modelling.
Age Limit	38 years on the last date of application submission.
Preference	Candidates with domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Balochistan will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities	Plan, design and execute integrated geophysical programs (magnetic, gravity, VLF/ERT/IP/MT/AT, radiometric, and other suitable methods) for mineral exploration. Define survey grids, line orientation, station spacing, acquisition parameters, QA/QC procedures and technical specifications. Lead and QA/QC field acquisition, processing, quality control, interpretation and integration of geophysical datasets. Supervise calibration, mobilization, operation, maintenance and demobilization of geophysical instruments and field equipment. Process and interpret geophysical datasets and prepare technical reports, maps and deliverables suitable for exploration decision-making. Integrate geophysical results with geological, drilling and assay data to define targets and advise on follow-up surveys and drilling. Manage geophysical databases, ensure data validation, coordinate system verification, metadata documentation, secure archiving and controlled access. Supervise geophysical teams and contractors while ensuring compliance with approved survey designs, project schedules, budgets, HSE requirements and recognized industry practices.
