National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites applications for the senior role of Group Chief, Inclusive Development to lead the Bank’s inclusive finance, SME, agriculture and sustainable finance initiatives. The position is based in Karachi and reports to the President of NBP. | Minimum Education | Minimum Bachelor's degree from a HEC-recognized local or international university/college in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management or related discipline. Master's degree and/or certifications in Development Finance, Inclusive/Sustainable Finance, SME or Agricultural Finance preferred. |
| Experience | Minimum 18 years' work experience with at least 12 years in banking and/or financial sector. Preference to candidates with demonstrated experience in retail banking, commercial or agricultural lending, SME finance, branch and portfolio management, and development-focused banking operations; experience interfacing with board/senior management and Board-level committees. |
| Key Skills & Expertise | Leadership and people management; strategic planning and implementation; stakeholder engagement and negotiation; product and program design for SME, agriculture and financial inclusion; strong governance, risk management and compliance orientation; experience with donor/partner programs, public-private partnerships, digital financial services, ESG/sustainable finance and MIS/monitoring. |
| Core Responsibilities | Lead and implement NBP’s inclusive development strategy; design and scale products/programs for SME, agriculture and financial inclusion; drive sustainable finance, ESG and gender-inclusive initiatives; manage portfolios and partnerships with government, donors and private sector; ensure governance, performance monitoring, and compliance; represent the Bank in national/international forums and relevant committees; prepare proposals and obtain required approvals for lending and program interventions. |
