Issuer: Pakistan Meteorological Department (Project Implementation Unit - Strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services) under the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD in Pakistan (MHSP).
Purpose: Request for Expressions of Interest (Individual Consultant Selection) for the position of Civil Engineer to support hydromet infrastructure and civil works under IFRAP Component-II.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university (Master’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering or related field is an advantage). • Registration as a Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). |
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in civil engineering design, planning, cost estimation, preparation of BOQs, construction supervision and contract administration for public infrastructure projects. • Demonstrated experience preparing engineer’s estimates, technical specifications, bidding documents, and evaluation of civil works. • Familiarity with Pakistan Engineering Council standards, Building Codes of Pakistan, Public Procurement Rules and contract administration. • Experience with World Bank or other development partner financed projects, or with FIDIC/International contract standards is highly desirable. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and engineering software; strong analytical, report writing and coordination skills. |

Contract & Location: Consultant will be employed on a contract basis, working full-time under PIU-PMD, Saidpur, Islamabad (may also involve work at other PMD sites as required).
